Here is yet another culinary delight brought to you by Zey’s kitchen: homemade fries. I do realize these are fairly simple and straightforward, but it’s funny how most people would overlook them when figuring out what to make for a meal. What I love about them is their versatility: you can have them for any meal in the day as a side for virtually any dish, or even on their own. Okay, I’ve raved enough…
Ingredients:
4 large potatoes (or however many you’d like to make)
Salt
Pepper
Olive or vegetable oil
Preheat your oven to 425°C. Grease your dish with a little bit of oil. Peel and wash your potatoes. Divide them into thirds (or into half if you have smaller potatoes). Then slice each third into thin slices (you really don’t need to be very precise with this step). Add some salt and pepper (I think we put in about 1/2 teaspoon for each) and pour about 2 tablespoons of oil. Toss potatoes by hand to distribute the seasoning and oil. Place on greased pan and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the potatoes turn golden. Enjoy!
